The name Rise captures the essence of what we are striving to accomplish in youth ministry at Saint Lawrence Parish. Rise calls us to stand and meet our challenges, confident that Christ stands with us.

The imagery of mountains reminds us to look up, to strive to live every moment of our lives for the hight goal of heaven.  And even if we fall, we will confidently Rise again through God's grace and keep climbing!

What is Rise Youth Ministry?
We are a community of faith and fellowship for teens in and around Saint Lawrence Parish in Shelton, CT  Our mission is simple, to lead teens closer to Christ.

Who is Rise for?
Rise is for youth in grades 6-12. We meet in separate groups for middle school ministry (grades 6-8) and high school ministry (grades 9-12). We also come together for some special events that are for the whole Rise community!

What sort of stuff does Rise do?
Our events feature a variety of activities focused on fostering community in our parish; from sports in the gym to adoration in the church, from quieter game nights to huge regional youth conferences and rallies, from pizza to praise and worship, and much, much more! Come to one of our events and see for yourself what we are all about!
